The latest defence and security technologies – FUTURE FORCES FORUM again in Prague in October

World premieres and technological innovations

Those who will attend the event will have an opportunity to get acquainted with the latest products and technologies manufactured or developed by both domestic and foreign companies, including several global premieres.

 

Defence and security products will be presented, for example,  by LOM PRAHA (upgraded Mi-171š helicopter), VR GROUP (virtual shooting range, aircraft simulator), VOP CZ (personnel and critical infrastructure protection system, UGV TAROS 2 robotic, and, together with the French company Arguus, a light multipurpose vehicle), LIAZ (global premiere of multifunctional unmanned helicopters), BAE SYSTEMS (infantry fighting vehicles, artillery system), Rheinmetall Defence (unmanned ground vehicle, the latest Future Soldier system of the Canadian Army), General Dynamics, and PSM (PUMA IFV project); C4ISTAR systems will be displayed by ICZ, Delinfo, Optokon, JISR Institute, Pramacom-HT, Rohde & Schwarz, Mesit, Interlink-CS (Harris), Aliter Technologies; while a portfolio of small arms, optics, and tactical equipment will be presented by BARRETT, Česká zbrojovka and 4M Systems, LUVO Firearms, FK BRNO, or ProAmmo (including a live training ammo shooting range), Záhoří Trade with its own Night Pearl brand, ARGUN, members of the CLUTEX technical fabric cluster, WILEY X, REVISION Military, LEUPOLD Optics, CORDURA, KARRIMOR SF, CARINTHIA, CARRINGTON, Daletec, Granqvists, or Aclima, and many others.  

 

As to institutions, the indoor premises will include official stands of the Ministry of Defence and Armed Forces of the Czech Republic, Ministries of Defence of the Netherlands, United States, Hungary, or Israel, Police of the Czech Republic, Emergency Medical Service, and Prison Service. Dynamic demonstrations will present the latest Future Soldier systems of the Czech Republic and Netherlands, use of exoskeletons in military missions, or the tactical system of specialists of the Police of the Czech Republic and the Prison Service. The outdoor area will host demonstrations of interventions of special units of the Police of the Czech Republic, Fire Rescue Service, Emergency Medical Service, or Prison Service.

 

Topical themes and a broad involvement of experts

Many top-ranking domestic officials, representatives and working groups of the Alliance and the European Union, commanders of military and police units, project managers of upgrade programmes, members of national acquisition and standardization agencies, security directors of strategic institutions and critical infrastructure elements, and many others have confirmed they will attend the event. It goes without saying that the FFF´s programme will include speeches and lectures of top-ranking experts in their respective fields.

 

Traditional topics of the Future Forces Forum include, in particular, equipment, armament, and protection systems of an individual; CBRN defence and protection; military and emergency medicine; unmanned and robotic assets; logistic support; geography, hydrometeorology, and global navigation satellite systems; cyber protection and defence. New topics are represented, for example, by modelling and simulation, biometrics, or protection of soft targets.

 

New events for experts, two scientific conferences

Two new events will take place under the aegis of the FFF – a NATO workshop on the use of exoskeletons in combat missions and a NATO workshop dealing with the development of concepts and experiments in military medicine; there will also be a NATO conference on the modelling and simulation of autonomous systems, and a scientific modelling and simulation workshop.

 

The outdoor static and dynamic demonstrations are open to the public without any limitation; free parking will be available throughout the three-day event.
