BG Žid has spent most of his career focusing on information technology, information security and strategic management. He graduated in the field of Technical Cybernetics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of CTU and gained further experience abroad while studying the field of Government Information Leadership at the National Defense University in the USA. He is also a graduate of the Advanced Management Program and the Chief Information Officer Certificate Program there. At Military Intelligence, he participates in building new capabilities in the Cyber and Space domains. It supports the program for science, research and innovation. It also advocates the introduction of new technologies to support the achievement of the organization's mission. In 2022, he participated in the chairmanship of the Czech Republic's NATO Military Intelligence Committee. In 2024, he was inducted into the Cybersecurity Hall of Fame.

NATO has defined eight emerging disruptive technologies (EDTs). EDTs include, for example, space, big data and artificial intelligence. Whoever masters these technologies gains an advantage. Whoever gains an advantage can try to change the current status quo. Given its importance, cyberspace and space have become an arena for competing powers. Each of the world's great powers wants to consolidate its position It is necessary to deal with a whole range of complex threats and to find new ways to ensure the resilience of services and new ways to deter.
